One of the Most Beautiful of the waterfalls in the Alps. It is a jump of a 143-meter waterfall with a maximum front, at the base, of 60 meters. At the top, a fantastic observation point is the wooden balcony stretching out over the waterfall. The famous hotel built in 1923 and designed in the Deco style by the architect Piero Portaluppi. Today the flow of the waterfall is reduced by the hydroelectric power that exploites the water for electrical purposes. Yet, in summer until 3 PM it is possible to see the waterfall in its full power.

Down the waterfall the river is a small mountain stream, we are here above 1600 m. asl. There is a nice population of wild trout and I had the chance to wet line using the Euro nymph technique. I employed barbless hooks and practiced C&R, to preserve this already quite impacted ecosystem. To fish here (source 2025) the standard Italian fishing license is required.
