A very common color combination in many Hydropsyche, brown and cream. Hydropsychidae and Rhyacophilidae are mostly predatory insects at this stage. Before hatching to fly insect, the larvae undergo an intermediate phase in a cocoon, changing into a pupa before emerging to the surface.
