The H.confusa larvae measure 1 to 1.2 cm. and are characterized by slender and bifurcated gills.




The larve prefer the higher part of the stream and can be found up to over 1000 m.




They leave in stony and gravel bottoms. The hatching period is from end of March until beginning of the summer.
