As the sun begins to set, the mayfly activity gradually decreases and actually stoped. There is still daylight and there are some rising trout, but the rise bulges are now little dots on the surface. There are sparse sedges in the air, but based on the type of rises visible on the surface, the trout are definitely not feeding on caddis. The takes are too small and delicate.
