The absence of anal gills, the body characteristics, the peculiar color and marking signs, the location and altitude identify it as a Perla marginata, a stonefly larva. This degree of magnification is achievable with a 1:1 macro lens. Additional extension tubes or bellows will boost the magnification and expand the range of identifiable species of a great number.
