Fishing days in these long interdicted areas are still in my memory. Rumors were saying that that part of the river had not been seeing an angler since 30 or more years. Needless to say that the fish was there. On the day the reserve was declared open we went to wet lines in this 'holy' water and we found good fish, not easy to fool but plenty, and sized trout were no exceptions. Unforgettable fising days that did not last for long. Unfortunately the wild fish went under to loosen rules allowing to take up to 10 fish a day but that's another story. These few personal experiences, without a real scientific observation, may not account for statistic significance, however ..
