The paradox of the monster beneath. During an emergence the highest pleasure is to fish with dry fly, period. However, during hatches, among all the rising trout, there often is a bigger one lurking deeper. This trout may every now and then decide to rise, but our chances of catching it on dry will be very remote. Needless to say that this time a nymph may be the joker in the pack.
