After the trout showed no interest in the tiny nymph I am about to give up. Instead, I tear off the thin leader, and mount a squirmy red worm on size 10. Through the crystal water, I see it reaching the bottom and tumbling on the pebbles. I am flabbergasted when the huge trout suddenly grabs it! Just to spit it out right after, before I can lift my arm in the glorious strike that would have made my the day. The trout won. Hence I move 20 meters upstream, where the current creates some riffles.
