During that bright and warm autumn day there was a moderate hatch of small sedge and pale watery duns but no fish activity on the surface. Except for some very sporadical noisy take on the surface.
From time to time an isolated big cinnamon sedge was seen in the air. It turned out that those lonely big sedges (at least the couple that I could closely examin) were L.flavicornis
