I found this specimen in the Graian Alps middle of August. I was fishing on a beautiful alpine stream, over 1000 m. above sea level. There were hundreds of mayflies in the air, big red spinners, that probably were Ecdyonurus venosus, but this was looked different. |

On a rock, there was this one. A little smaller than the mayfly in the air and a bit washed out in colour. |

The turban eyes were dark gray. There seemed to be a tiny faint lighter band at the base. |

I took it home but could not take a better picture as the next day it was dead and a bit dried out. Definitely genus Ecdyonurs, by the shape of genitalia it might have been E.alpinus. Anyone with a better guess? |
